Healing Was Never Meant to Happen Alone
Faith, identity, mental health, and community are not separate conversations. Each one shapes the way we understand ourselves, relate to others, and move through the healing process.
I recently had the opportunity to explore their intersection during a podcast conversation titled “Jennifer Coulter: How Faith Can Transform Identity & Mental Health.”
During our conversation, we discussed the hidden power of true community—what becomes possible when people have spaces where they can be seen, known, and supported without having to pretend they have it all together.
I also shared a little of my own journey with hurt and healing. Although our stories may look different, I believe many of us know what it is like to carry pain quietly, question who we are, or discover that some parts of healing cannot happen in isolation.
The right relationships do more than offer company. They can help us challenge the stories pain taught us, remember what is true, and experience the kind of safety that makes growth possible.
Faith can also become an important part of that restoration. It can invite us to see ourselves beyond what happened to us, reconnect with who God says we are, and recognize that healing is not simply about returning to who we were before the hurt. Sometimes, it is about becoming more fully who we were created to be.
This conversation reflects the heart of Restorative Solutions: helping people come home—to God, to themselves, and to others.
I hope you will take some time to watch. And as you listen, consider this question:
Where in your life might healing be inviting you out of isolation and into deeper connection?
Here’s to hope & healing,
Jennifer, LCSW, LMFT
Where are you in your restoration journey?
As I shared in this conversation, restoration is not a straight line. You may feel grounded in one area of your life while another is asking for care, truth, or support.
I created a brief reflection to help you identify which area may be inviting your attention right now—and receive a personalized reflection, practical next step, and Scripture to carry with you.
